Chequers Inn
The charming 16th Century coaching inn, now a Chef & Brewer restaurant/pub under Punch Taverns, is a grade 2 listed building with an appealing thatched roof. Unfortunately, a severe fire led to its closure for a year, causing significant damage to the roof. However, it was successfully refurbished and reopened in February 2011. The establishment boasts a spacious patio at the rear, and the River Ver occasionally graces the bottom of the car park with its flow. CAMRA members can enjoy a discount on beer, adding to the appeal for beer enthusiasts. Additionally, the pub hosts a quiz every Wednesday evening, offering a fun and engaging experience for patrons.
