The Wheatsheaf Inn
Welcome to our charming 17th-century free house, nestled in a picturesque village just off the A19 trunk route. While the original doors have been removed, the layout still maintains the ambiance of a multi-roomed pub. The two primary rooms, with their low-beamed ceilings, exude a traditional and cozy atmosphere. We pride ourselves on supporting local businesses, and as such, we typically offer two guest beers on tap, sourced from smaller breweries in Yorkshire. Our landlord is a passionate advocate for these local breweries, ensuring we always have the best of their offerings available for our patrons. In addition to our indoor spaces, we also boast a spacious beer garden, perfect for those sunny afternoons. We host one or two beer festivals annually, providing a great opportunity for beer enthusiasts to sample a variety of brews. Please note that at present, we do not serve food. However, we invite you to come and enjoy our warm hospitality, local beers, and the timeless charm of our historic free house.
