The New Strand
The New Inn, as it is locally known, is a charming establishment rebuilt in the Victorian mock Gothic style following a fire in 1900 that destroyed the original pub. Today, it houses not only a single bar but also a cafe/restaurant that serves as a family room, a post office, and a bookshop, all under one roof. The New Inn is known for its warm, family-friendly ambiance and is a popular spot for both cyclists and walkers. It offers a diverse food menu that is available throughout the day, with the exception of Tuesdays. Please note that the bar also opens its doors at 11am daily, except on Tuesdays. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind with a drink, enjoy a good meal, or simply browse through some books, the New Inn is the place to be.
