Stag Inn
The Stag, believed to be the oldest pub in Devon with origins dating back to the 12th century, is rich in historical features. After an 18-month hiatus, the pub reopened in March 2018 under new ownership, following a thoughtful refurbishment that preserved its unique character. The Stag boasts flagstone floors, a large open fire, and cosy dining areas, along with a well-stocked bar. However, the pub's medium-term sustainability is contingent on the owners securing a supportive management team. Please note that The Stag only opens its doors on the first two Sundays of each month.
