The Four Horseshoes
This charming, sprawling thatched establishment, with its origins tracing back to around 1150, is a sight to behold. While a significant portion of its interior is currently dedicated to dining, the bar continues to serve up to four different types of beer. The interior design prominently features exposed woodwork, adding to its rustic charm. One unique feature of the bar is a well situated within its premises. The establishment also caters to the differently-abled with a specially designed toilet. Local folklore speaks of a hidden tunnel connecting this location to the nearby Stoke Ash White Horse, although no concrete evidence has been found to support this claim. In a noteworthy event in 2008, the pub came under the management of Tom Parkhurst. At the tender age of 19, Parkhurst was believed to be the youngest pub owner in the county at the time.
