The Jet
The site that is currently occupied by a car park in Leamington was once home to a historic pub known as the Brunswick Arms, which stood until the late 1950s. In its place, a new pub was established, reflecting the architectural style of the late 50s and early 60s, and was named the Jet & Whittle. This name was retained for several years until it was changed to Brunswick in May 1998. The pub's name, Jet & Whittle, may have been inspired by Frank Whittle, the inventor of the jet engine, who spent his school years in the local area. The name was changed once again in October 2003, this time to The Jet. While the pub is accessible to disabled patrons, it is important to note that it does not have disabled toilet facilities.
