The Ashmore Inn
Located within the expansive Ashmore Park estate, which began construction in the late 1950s, is a large pub designed by architect Bertram Butler. The plans for this establishment were initially submitted in 1956, but it wasn't until 1963 that they received approval. Construction of the pub commenced shortly after approval was granted, resulting in a spacious venue with several distinct rooms. The pub boasts a sizable bar area, complete with a snooker table for patrons to enjoy. Additionally, there is a separate, exceptionally large lounge area. This lounge is open during weekends and other peak times, providing a comfortable and spacious area for guests to relax and socialize. The combination of these features makes this pub a notable addition to the Ashmore Park estate.
