Pretty Bricks
The Pretty Bricks, as it is fondly referred to by locals, is a charming pub that was built in 1840. Its name is derived from its striking glazed-brick facade. In 1924, the pub underwent significant renovations, the majority of which have been preserved to this day. Upon entering the pub, one is led through a corridor, with the front bar conveniently located to the right. This passage then expands into a back lobby, which further leads to a rear lounge equipped with a newly installed fireplace. The pub's centerpiece is an unusually shaped service area, which, although not entirely in its original form, still retains its charm. This area is adorned with beautiful stained glass screens, adding to the overall appeal of the lounge area.
