Lion Inn
The existing structure, which was constructed in the mid-1960s, replaced a pub that previously occupied the same location but was torn down. This establishment is a quintessential village pub, managed by a landlord who has been in charge since 1991. The pub features a public bar, complete with a pool area, and a separate lounge. Both the bar and lounge are equipped with their own fireplaces, a log burner for the bar and an open fire for the lounge, adding to the cozy atmosphere. Historically, the pub was part of the expansive local estate owned by the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery. Please note that the pub may close earlier than usual during quieter periods.
