The Red Cow
Situated within a historic 17th-century building, this pub offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. The structure, which was renovated in the early to mid-19th century, features low ceilings and visible timber framing that contribute to its rustic appeal. Despite these traditional elements, the pub also boasts a contemporary fireplace, adding a touch of modernity to the overall ambiance. The pub, while not particularly large, is thoughtfully designed with three distinct but interconnected areas. The bar area, although compact, exudes a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Adjacent to the bar is a smaller pool room. However, patrons should note that when the pool room is occupied, it may obstruct the path to the restrooms. In 2020, the pub underwent a renovation, further enhancing its appeal. As part of this refurbishment, real ale was reintroduced, much to the delight of ale enthusiasts. This charming pub, with its blend of historic architecture and modern conveniences, offers a unique and enjoyable experience for all its visitors.
