This establishment, originally a farmhouse built in 1718, is located near Hadrian's Wall, from which the stone for the building was sourced. In 1744, it was transformed into a coaching inn. Upon entering the low-beamed bar area, guests are warmly greeted with the phrase "Mind ya heed". The traditional atmosphere is further enhanced by wooden tables scattered throughout the space. The pub is highly regarded for its quality food offerings. It boasts ample space and several small rooms, including a comfortable area furnished with plush leather sofas.
