Flying Elephant
After undergoing a substantial renovation, the Red House reopened its doors in February 2020 under a new name - the Flying Elephant. The origin of this unique name remains a mystery to the staff. The pub now boasts comfortable seating and a fresh, inviting decor, making it a popular spot for dining and unwinding. The menu offers a fusion of British and Indian cuisines, but with a distinctive Kenyan influence. The food is cooked over wood, as opposed to traditional clay ovens, and incorporates Kenyan spices and flavors. Due to the impact of the Covid pandemic, the pub has reduced its beer selection to a single real ale, typically Wainwright.
