The Walter Arms
The establishment, originally a Victorian pub/hotel, was constructed in 1865 by John Walter III, the grandson of the founder of the Times newspaper. It has now been transformed into a family-friendly community pub that is part of the Old Spot Pub Co. The pub, under new management since August 2019, offers a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, welcoming not only families but also their furry friends. The pub places a significant emphasis on food, serving it both in the pub and the converted barn. The left-hand bar is designed with comfortable furnishings and a few bar stools, creating a cozy environment for relaxed drinking and pre-dinner drinks. This establishment seamlessly blends history with modern comforts, offering a unique dining and socializing experience.
