The Herdsman
The establishment in question is a historic commercial hotel, originally located just beyond the city walls, but now situated just outside the ring road. The hotel was reconstructed in 1861 and, while it may initially seem to only have one bar, it also boasts a separate dining room and a spacious function room equipped with a skittle alley. An additional skittle alley is located upstairs, and a small yard is available for those who smoke. The hotel thrives on team games, including quoits during the summer season. The hotel also offers home-cooked pub food, which is served during lunchtime.
