Guildford Cathedral

Guildford Cathedral, formally known as The Cathedral Church of the Holy Spirit, Guildford, is a prominent Anglican cathedral located in Guildford, Surrey, England. The cathedral's establishment was made possible through generous land donations. The initial 6 acres of land were gifted by Richard Onslow, while the remaining portion was purchased and donated by Viscount Bennett, a former Canadian Prime Minister, in 1947. The cathedral's architectural design is the work of Edward Maufe, and its construction spanned from 1936 to 1961. Today, Guildford Cathedral serves as the official seat of the Bishop of Guildford.
