This establishment, like others in Hereford during that era, succeeded two city-center pubs, which subsequently shut down. Serving as a community hub, it caters to a broad area of Hereford located south of the Wye. The pub is a popular gathering spot for various teams, including six darts teams, two quoits teams, a pool team, and a poker school. Additionally, it supports the community by sponsoring a local football team. To keep the atmosphere lively and engaging, the pub hosts a Karaoke night every Friday and live music performances once a month on Saturdays. This pub, with its rich history and commitment to community engagement, continues to be a cherished local institution in Hereford.
