Black Horse Inn
After a short period of closure, the historic 18th-century coaching Inn, located on the London-Bristol route, reopened under new management in May 2019. The Inn, which is situated near the iconic white horse chalk figure on the hill and other local monuments, offers a traditional bar area and a separate section dedicated to food service. In May 2017, the pub underwent a comprehensive refurbishment that breathed new life into the establishment. More recently, in 2020, planning permission was granted for the construction of houses on the existing car park. Despite this development, the pub continues to operate, maintaining its charm and serving its patrons.
