The Malta
The establishment, originally established in 1756 near the River Lea, was relocated to its present location in 1800. It primarily caters to local patrons and transient customers. As of now, the pub is not serving real ale, instead offering only bottled beers. This change came about after the pub was sold in late 2012 by its former owners, Punch Taverns, and became a free house. Despite these changes, the pub continues to be a beloved local spot with a rich history.
