The Carpenters Arms
Located adjacent to a 15th-century village church, the pub, originally known as Castle Barton farmhouse, was bought and transformed into a pub by William Northway. The pub's name is derived from the surname of the executor of the will of the property's previous owner. This village centre pub is a favourite among both locals and tourists. It features a charming small beer garden, which serves as a suntrap, situated at the front of the property. Inside, a cozy wood burner provides warmth during colder days. Please note that the pub's summer opening season concludes in October.
