Located atop a remote hill, this pub, once a hunting lodge, is a hidden gem that may require an OS map for navigation. The building's exterior is made of flint, while the interior boasts oak beams and a stone fireplace, adding to its rustic charm. The pub was home to Charlie, a nationally renowned African Grey parrot, who sadly passed away in February 2016. After a period of closure, the pub reopened its doors on August 6th, 2021. Currently, the beer on offer is supplied by Westerham Brewery and served from pins. Please note that the pub's operating hours may vary depending on the number of customers, and it may close early if there are few patrons. Therefore, we recommend calling ahead to confirm the pub's opening hours.
