The Alhampton Inn

In the face of economic challenges, this traditional country pub had to close its doors in late 2022. However, the resilient local community rallied together, took over the lease, and successfully reopened the establishment in August 2023. Initially, the pub only served drinks, but it has since expanded its offerings. Prior to its closure in 2022, the pub was a charming and inviting space, boasting cosy open fires and a delightful beer garden. The snug bar, located on the left, featured an inglenook and a single table. In 2021, the bar underwent a remodelling to create more space, enhancing the overall ambiance. On the right side of the pub, there was a cosy restaurant with just four tables, offering an intimate dining experience. For those seeking a larger dining space, an upstairs dining room was available. Despite the changes and challenges, the pub has retained its traditional charm and continues to serve as a beloved gathering place for the local community.
