The Queens Head

This local pub, which was renovated in May 2014, has been steadily expanding its food offerings while maintaining its popularity as a go-to spot for televised sporting events. However, it has experienced a series of closures and re-openings over the years. After a brief closure in August 2014, the pub reopened in May 2015 or possibly earlier. In 2018, the establishment underwent a transformation and reopened as Santinni, an Italian restaurant. However, it returned to its roots as a pub in November 2021. Unfortunately, it was reported to have closed again in January 2022, but quickly rebounded, reopening in February 2022 as a Pub & Kitchen. Notably, during this period, it did not offer cask beer. The pub faced another closure in July 2022, but it wasn't long before it was back in business. In March 2023, it reopened once again as a pub, this time under new management. Despite the changes and challenges, this establishment has shown resilience and adaptability, continuing to serve the local community in various forms.
