Old Hunters Tavern
Located just beyond the heart of the town, this charming, traditional two-roomed pub is a favourite among locals and visitors alike. In November 2015, the pub underwent a refurbishment, which included the removal of its distinctive brass poles and circular pint-holding shelves. Despite this change, the pub retains its unique character and continues to attract a diverse crowd. The pub features a separate room on one side, providing a more private space for patrons. It also hosts a variety of social activities throughout the week. The Manchester Log End ladies darts team gathers every Tuesday, while Thursdays are reserved for a lively quiz night. Additionally, the pub's golf society holds monthly meetings, making it a hub for sports enthusiasts. Football fans are also catered for, with regular matches broadcasted in both main rooms. For those who prefer the outdoors, the pub offers a covered, heated area specifically designed for smokers. However, it's worth noting that the pub does not serve food on weekends. Despite this, its warm atmosphere, range of activities, and traditional charm make it a popular choice for a relaxing evening out.
