The Hare
The Quart Pot, a previously closed establishment, was sold to property developers in 2011 who attempted to convert it for residential use. However, in early 2016, the property was once again sold, this time to individuals in the licensed trade. The new owners did not acquire the adjacent land, which is currently under consideration for residential planning permission. After undergoing renovations, the establishment reopened its doors in March 2016 under the new name, The Hare. The bar area now features three handpumps. While children are not permitted in the bar area, they are welcome to join their families in the dining room. This transformation marks a new chapter for the establishment, blending its rich history with a fresh, modern approach.
