The Funky End
The Funky End, a popular pub, reopened its doors on November 19, 2021, after being temporarily closed since February of the same year. The establishment, originally built by the London & South Western Railway, was initially known as the South Western Hotel upon its establishment in the town. Over time, the venue has undergone significant changes, reducing in size and transitioning into a bar. The Funky End offers a serene and enjoyable atmosphere during weekdays, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. However, the ambiance transforms during the weekends, as the sound system is amplified to accommodate live DJ performances and laser shows, creating a vibrant and energetic environment for patrons. It's important to note that the last entry on weekends is at 12:30 am. The Funky End seamlessly blends the tranquility of the weekdays with the lively spirit of the weekends, ensuring a unique experience for all its visitors.
