The Boot
The establishment, previously known as the Golden Boot, has been in existence since at least 1690, and was even mentioned in the novel Barnaby Rudge. It was also the headquarters of the Gordon rioters. In 1801, the former Charrington pub was reconstructed into a single-room structure. For over two decades, the pub has been managed by Packie Hughes and his wife Mary. The pub features a corner shrine dedicated to the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), along with a variety of other interesting items and memorabilia. The beer selection primarily includes offerings from Greene King.
