The Beehive
The spacious pub, which has undergone significant expansion since its inception, was first established in September 1932 by Garne's Brewery. This was a speculative venture during the early days of the air base. The pub features two large rooms and an outdoor seating area. A unique feature of this establishment is its beer taps. The keg fonts are suspended from above the bar, while the real ale fonts are electric pumps designed to resemble traditional hand pumps. The pub opens its doors at 10.30am, offering breakfast, coffee, and cake to its patrons. Currently, the pub is managed by Butcombe Brewery.
