Napoleon Inn
The SRI is a multi-roomed pub, dating back to the early 17th century, that has managed to retain much of its original charm and character. Despite some updates in the 1950s, the pub has not undergone significant changes since then. The quaint public bar features a Delabole slate floor, a wooden counter with slatted design, comfortable fitted seating, and a traditional stone fireplace, all contributing to its cozy and inviting atmosphere. This same rustic aesthetic extends to the other areas of the pub as well. These include a lounge, a small room accessible by two steps, the whimsically named 'Fun Bar' located in an older extension of the building, and a dining room that was once a separate cottage. Each of these spaces boasts similar flooring and fittings as the public bar, ensuring a consistent and authentic feel throughout the establishment. In essence, the SRI is a charming, multi-roomed pub that beautifully encapsulates the essence of the 17th century, with a touch of 1950s flair. Its various rooms, each with their unique character, offer a warm and welcoming environment for patrons to relax and enjoy.
