The Monks Head

Welcome to our historic pub, which has been a cornerstone of the community since approximately 1553. As you step down into the bar areas from the front entrance, you'll be greeted by an abundance of charming wooden beams and a grand inglenook fireplace, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Moving towards the rear of the pub, you'll find our recently renovated restrooms. A short climb up a few steps will lead you outside to our expansive, beautifully lit garden. This outdoor space is equipped with picnic tables for your comfort and features a decorative Koi carp pond, adding a touch of tranquility to your visit. We are excited to share that we have plans to extend this area in the future, providing even more space for you to relax and enjoy. Additionally, we are repurposing a shed to serve as a garden bar, further enhancing your outdoor dining experience. We look forward to welcoming you to our pub, where history and modern comforts blend seamlessly to create a unique and enjoyable atmosphere.
