The Globe
The Globe, a historic coaching inn dating back to the 16th century, is a charming establishment that has been modernized while still retaining its original character. Notable features include a small coaching light window located in the side passageway, a detail mirrored at the Angel. The inn was briefly renamed the Victoria Cross, but due to local opposition, it quickly reverted back to its original name, The Globe. The ground floor of the inn houses a long room equipped with a bar, television, and pool table. The first floor features a versatile space that can be utilized for various functions. After a brief hiatus, The Globe reopened its doors to the public in March 2018. Despite the modern updates, the inn continues to honor its historical roots, providing a unique blend of the past and present for its patrons.
