Welcome to our historic free house, originally built in 1546, where you can appreciate the charm of exposed timbers and low ceilings. This place is a favorite among walkers and is also known for being a family and dog-friendly establishment. During the summer, our spacious garden becomes a popular spot for guests to relax and enjoy. We are conveniently located along the route of Bus 666, which runs between Ashford and Faversham. The bus service operates hourly from Monday to Friday and every two hours on Saturdays. Please note that there is no bus service available during the evenings or on Sundays. We take pride in offering a variety of guest beers, often featuring selections from small local breweries in Kent, such as Wantsum, Tonbridge, and Ramsgate.
