The Golden Lion Inn

Located at the eastern extremity of the primary thoroughfare in Sedgefield, you'll find a moderately sized pub with three interconnected spaces. The pub features a traditional front bar, complete with a welcoming open fire. For a significant part of the previous century, the pub was recognized as Coopers, named after the family who managed it for numerous generations. Despite several changes in tenancy over the years, the current licensee is the daughter-in-law of the Cooper family, maintaining the family connection. As of October 2021, it's important to note that the pub does not offer real ale.
