The Kings Arms
Established in 1758, this historic pub was one of ten in the village, strategically located on the main road connecting Oxford and London. It has been under the ownership of Halls Brewery since the 1860s. The pub maintains three distinct areas, each with its unique charm. While the interior has been updated with a contemporary and vibrant design, one room still preserves some of its ancient panelling, offering a glimpse into its rich past. The pub also features a lovely patio garden at the front, providing an outdoor space for patrons to relax and enjoy. However, in December 2019, the ground floor suffered significant damage due to a fire. After a year of extensive restoration work, the pub was able to reopen in December 2020, ready to welcome back its loyal customers and continue its long-standing tradition of hospitality.
