The Coachmakers Arms
Located just off the bustling High Street and near the Market Hill bus stops, you'll find a charming, historic pub, characterized by its numerous exposed beams. This pub boasts a spacious, L-shaped bar that has managed to preserve much of its original character over the years. Every Monday, the pub transforms into a lively hub for darts enthusiasts. Adding to the unique atmosphere, the pub's jukebox serves a dual purpose, not only playing an eclectic mix of music but also acting as a bingo caller and quiz host. While the pub is equipped with three hand pumps, they are currently not in use. Please note that no food is served on Mondays. However, from Tuesday onwards, patrons can enjoy Southern Street Food, which is typically available from late afternoon, around 4pm. Additionally, a delicious brunch menu is offered from noon on weekends. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this old pub offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and a unique experience that's hard to find elsewhere.
