Town Crier
The exterior of this pub, built in the early 1960s, is rather austere, featuring modern upvc windows. However, upon entering, one is pleasantly surprised to find that the interior has largely retained its original charm. The public bar, located to the right of the entrance corridor, boasts original furniture and benches, as well as authentic bar shelving and counter. Some newer timberwork has been added to the counter and side wall, subtly blending the old with the new. Towards the back of the pub, there is a lounge/function room that is not frequently used. This room is characterized by its faux timbered walls, adding a touch of rustic appeal to the overall ambiance.
