The Sportsman
Located near the Buckland region of London Road, the Sportsman pub in Dover is one of the last remaining establishments that were formerly owned by Gardners of Ash and later by Tomson & Wotton. It is now under private ownership. The pub is unique for its garden access, which is reached by climbing several steps, and its unusual outdoor skittle alley that slopes upwards, a feature that is said to confuse visiting teams.
