The George
Constructed in the aftermath of the 1746 Battle of Culloden, this historic pub was initially named in honor of the triumphant Duke of Cumberland. It also holds a significant place in history as the location of the 1867 inquest on Sweet Fanny Adams. The pub features a unique two-sided wood-fired stove that warms both the main bar and the open area used for music nights. Recently, the pub has experienced a change in management. As of May 2023, patrons can enjoy up to three different cask beers on rotation.
