The Bushel

Situated within the Guineas shopping arcade, you'll find one of the town's oldest pubs, with its origins tracing back to the 17th or 18th century. This part of town, once a labyrinth of lanes, was historically known as the Rookery. Today, it's a bustling hub of activity, with the pub adding to its charm and appeal. In addition to its rich history, the pub offers a unique entertainment feature. Every third Sunday, it hosts live music performances from 6-8pm. These aren't just any performances, but ones by renowned musicians Dennis Stratton, formerly of Iron Maiden, and Dave Edwards, who was part of Manfred Mann. This combination of history, location, and entertainment makes it a must-visit spot in town.
