The Woolpack Inn
Constructed in 1932, this pub stands as a replacement for an older structure, originally built with the expectation of the main Ashford to Folkestone road passing through Smeeth. However, this did not materialize. The pub, comprised of two rooms, serves as a delightful community facility in the village, offering hearty meals and snacks for its patrons. The pub also features a Crazy Golf course in a section of its garden, providing an enjoyable recreational activity for visitors. Additionally, it houses a separate play area specifically designed for children, ensuring a family-friendly environment. Moreover, the pub hosts an annual beer festival every August, which is a significant event in the local calendar. This festival not only showcases a variety of beers but also serves as a social gathering, further enhancing the pub's role as a community hub.
