The Commercial Hotel
Established in 1831 and expanded in 1859, The Commercial holds the distinction of being the first pub in Bottom Mossley. Initially, it served as a rest stop for coach travelers, and later, for those arriving by rail. Today, it is a popular destination for rail ale trail enthusiasts. The pub, affectionately known as the 'Commie', features a refurbished open-plan interior with a central bar. It is known for its lively atmosphere, especially during weekends when it often hosts discos or karaoke events.
