The Stag
This establishment, constructed in 1868, boasts a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, thanks to its well-lit interior. The space is enhanced by the warmth of pine flooring, a bar counter, and tongue & groove panelling. The decor is tastefully completed with blue swag and tail curtains, adding a touch of elegance. The front of the establishment features enclosed seating, offering a cozy and intimate setting for patrons. In 2003, the establishment returned to its original name after a period of being known as O'Reillys. Its historical roots are evident, as it was once owned by Watney Combe Reid. A testament to this past ownership is the wall roundel, a distinctive emblem of the former owner, which can still be faintly seen above the front entrance. This establishment's rich history and charming interior make it a unique and welcoming place to visit.
