The pub, located in a suburban area, was built in the interwar period and is designed in a mock-Tudor style. Over the recent years, it has undergone renovations to enhance its appearance. The pub features a well-maintained patio garden at the back and side, with additional seating available at the front, complete with a shelter. Originally, the pub was part of the Cannon Brewery, then Allied, Punch Retail, and Spirit, before being transferred to a lease in 2006. As of August 2017, the pub was offering Old Golden Hen on handpump for £3.70 per pint. However, by April 2019, the pub had discontinued serving cask beer. Despite this change, the pub continues to offer a unique and enjoyable experience for its patrons.
