The Windmill
In 1927, the pub underwent a significant renovation as part of a road expansion project. The front bar still showcases the original half-height wooden wall panelling from this period, adding a touch of historical charm to the establishment. Another unique feature of this pub is its double bar back. The wooden shelves situated directly behind the counter are used for storing glasses, while a second, almost identical bar back is located through a doorway, where it holds the spirits and the cash register. In 1965, the pub expanded its former Smoke Room, which now accommodates a pool table. This extension has added more space for patrons to relax and enjoy their time in the pub. The combination of historical elements and modern amenities creates a unique and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.
