The Grapes
The local corner pub, known as the 'Little Grapes', has a rich history dating back to 1804 and still proudly displays the original Mellors signage. In the summer of 2016, a significant refurbishment and extension project was undertaken, which has increased the size of the pub. The extension has also added a partly sheltered patio area, accessible via a new staircase. The pub boasts nine handpumps, the majority of which serve beers from local and regional microbreweries. In addition to this, one pump is now dedicated to serving real cider, catering to a variety of tastes. The 'Little Grapes' also offers an extensive selection of rums, further enhancing its beverage offerings. Adding to the lively atmosphere, the pub hosts live jazz performances every Sunday. This combination of historical charm, diverse drink options, and live entertainment makes the 'Little Grapes' a unique and enjoyable local spot.
