The Garratt Tavern
Prior to 2016, the establishment was a modern L-shaped bar and restaurant, which preserved some of its original features. It boasted a spacious garden, partially covered, and catered predominantly to a younger crowd. However, it maintained a dress code policy that prohibited baseball caps and sportswear after 9:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The venue was also family-friendly, allowing children to accompany dining adults until 6 PM. This place was previously known as Waggon & Horses. In October 2017, the establishment underwent a significant transformation following a substantial investment of £266k. This renovation led to the reintroduction of real ale and the installation of wooden flooring throughout the premises. Unfortunately, as of May 2022, the venue has discontinued serving real ale. Despite this change, the establishment continues to offer a unique dining and socializing experience, blending contemporary style with traditional elements.
