The Goat
The site that once housed the Temperance Snooker Hall, where Jimmy White and Tony Meo honed their skills, is now home to a unique split-level bar with a distinct atmosphere. This establishment offers a broad selection of bottled beers from Belgium, Germany, and other regions, as well as five varieties of bottled ciders. The availability of real ale will be determined by customer demand. During a recent visit, it was noted that four of the six handpumps were not in use. The former brewing area, located at 66B, has been leased out and is now operating as a retail shop. Above this, flat 66C is also part of the lease. This transformation from a snooker hall to a bar and retail space represents a new chapter in the history of this site.
