The Cyclist
The former Wetherspoon shop, a tastefully wood-panelled establishment located near Balham station, was converted into a lively pub in 1993. It was a popular spot for patrons to enjoy a meal, a drink, or a chat, and it also offered televised football games for sports enthusiasts. In addition to its permanent range of beverages, the pub featured four rotating guest beers to keep the selection fresh and exciting. However, in 2018, Wetherspoon made the decision not to renew the lease and vacated the premises. The pub was given a new lease of life in May 2019 when it was reopened under a new name and new ownership. Unfortunately, real ale is no longer on the menu.
