The Golden Hind
Tolly Cobbold, a renowned brewery, constructed several large, mock-Baronial style estate pubs during the 1930s, which were fondly referred to as 'Tolly Follies'. Despite undergoing extensive refurbishments in more recent years, elements of the original grandeur still remain. Notable features include an impressive lantern skylight, a grand staircase leading to a function room, and some preserved oak panelling in what was once known as the Oak Room. These elements serve as a testament to the pub's rich history and its architectural significance during the 1930s.
