The pub originally began as a terrace that housed a butcher's shop and four cottages, and it still maintains a charming, cottage-like atmosphere. Initially, it was licensed under the name "The Shoulder of Mutton" before it was renamed to its current title. The pub is divided into two distinct sections: a public bar and a lounge bar/dining room. The public bar features exposed timber flooring, ceiling beams, and joists, adding to its rustic appeal. Similarly, the lounge bar/dining room is adorned with exposed ceiling timbers and timber matchboard-clad walls, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
