The Dunton Bassett Arms
Constructed in 1912, this edifice superseded the initial inn, a humble thatched structure with roots tracing back to the early 1720s. For the majority of its existence, the pub bore the name 'The Shoulder of Mutton'. However, in 1988, it underwent a rebranding and was renamed 'The Dunton Bassett Arms'. An interesting feature of this establishment is the Chinese restaurant located towards the back of the pub. This eatery not only offers a sit-down dining experience but also provides a takeaway menu for those who prefer to enjoy their meals at home.
